Privacy Policy
DisCon is a display control and interactive presentation platform developed and operated by AMNYA Technology. This Privacy Policy explains what data DisCon collects, how it is used, and how it is protected. DisCon is deployed as a licensed on-premise or private-network installation — it does not transmit data to AMNYA Technology servers during normal operation.
1. Data DisCon Collects
DisCon collects only the data required to operate its display control and interactive experience features:
- Administrator credentials (username and bcrypt-hashed password) stored locally on the server
- Device registration data: display device identifiers, controller tablet identifiers, and assigned roles
- Content configuration: navigation flows, assigned media, and presentation settings
- Session logs: connection events, device state changes, and interaction timestamps (retained locally)
- Visitor interaction data (where configured): RFID tag identifiers, guestbook entries, and interaction events — stored locally on the DisCon server
2. Data DisCon Does Not Collect
- Personal information about display visitors beyond what is explicitly entered into interactive features (e.g. guestbook)
- Payment or billing information of any kind
- Any data transmitted to AMNYA Technology's servers (DisCon operates entirely within your local network or private infrastructure)
3. How Data Is Used
All data collected by DisCon is used solely to operate the display control and interactive experience system within your installation. AMNYA Technology does not have access to data stored by your DisCon instance unless you explicitly share it during a support engagement. We do not sell, share, or use your data for any external purpose.
4. Data Storage & Retention
DisCon stores all data locally on the server infrastructure you control. AMNYA Technology does not host or store your DisCon data. Session logs and interaction data are retained according to the configuration you set. You may purge data at any time via the DisCon administration panel or by direct database access.
5. Visitor-Facing Interactive Features
If you use DisCon's guestbook or RFID interaction features, visitor-submitted content (such as digital autographs or typed entries) is stored locally on your DisCon server. As the operator, you are responsible for disclosing this data collection to visitors and for complying with applicable privacy laws in your jurisdiction.
6. Data Security
DisCon uses bcrypt-hashed credentials, HTTPS/TLS enforcement, and session-based authentication for administrator access. Network communication between DisCon server and connected devices is contained within your local network. You are responsible for securing the network infrastructure on which DisCon is deployed.
For AMNYA Technology's general security practices and incident response procedures, see our Security & Incident Response Policy.
7. Your Rights
Because DisCon operates entirely within your infrastructure, you have direct control over all data it stores. You may access, correct, export, or delete any data through the DisCon administration panel or your database. For questions about this policy, contact us at support@amnyatech.com.
