A discovered shipment is an Aramex AWB (waybill) number we find in your Shopify fulfilled orders and add to your All Shipments table in the app. The count is based on when the AWB was first discovered, not how long it stays open. An AWB found in January counts against January's quota — even if the parcel is still in transit in February. It will not count again in February. Your total store order volume is irrelevant; only the Aramex AWBs we actively track count.
It does not count against this month's quota. Counting is locked to the month of discovery. An AWB found in January counts once — in January — and then continues syncing for free until delivered, no matter how long that takes. You are never counted twice for the same shipment.
Yes. Aramex Delivery Sync uses standard Shopify Fulfillment APIs and works on all Shopify plans, including Basic, Shopify, Advanced, and Plus.
We stop discovering new AWBs from your orders for the rest of the calendar month. Any shipments already in your tracking table continue syncing normally until delivered — they are not affected by the limit. Your quota resets on the 1st of the next month, or you can upgrade at any time to resume discovery immediately.
By default every 2 hours. You can configure the interval from 5 minutes to 24 hours in the app settings. For near-real-time updates, you can also configure the Aramex push webhook.
Yes. Your Aramex credentials are encrypted with AES-256 before being stored. They are never logged and are only decrypted at the time of an API call.
Yes — Shopify automatically sends a "Your order has been delivered" email whenever a fulfillment is marked as delivered. If you're importing a backlog of shipments that were never synced (orders from months or years ago), your customers will receive those emails retroactively.
What we recommend for your first sync: Go to Shopify Admin → Settings → Notifications and temporarily disable the "Shipment delivered" notification. Run the initial discovery to catch up your backlog, then re-enable the notification. From that point on, only genuine new deliveries will trigger the email.
Note on very old shipments: Aramex only returns tracking data for AWBs they still have on record. Shipments from a long time ago will still be discovered and added to your tracking table, but if Aramex no longer has data for those AWBs they will stay at "no updates" indefinitely — this is a limitation of the Aramex API, not the app.
The app can only sync tracking updates that Aramex actively provides through their API. As long as Aramex is returning data for a shipment — whether it's in transit, out for delivery, or recently delivered — the app will keep tracking it and pushing updates to Shopify automatically.
However, if Aramex stops returning data for a shipment (typically for very old AWBs that have been purged from their systems), there is nothing the app can do — the shipment will remain at its last known status with no further updates. This is a limitation of the Aramex API itself, not the app.
In practice this affects only historical shipments that were fulfilled a long time ago. For all current and recent shipments, Aramex API responses are reliable and the app syncs them as expected.
